My older brother and I are going to a Cubs game this weekend, versus the Mets. We will either go on Friday or Saturday. Saturday would be a little bit of a bummer, because Notre Dame opens the football season against Purdue. I live 2 minutes from the campus, and love the whole tailgating, walking the campus and going to the game tradition that I do for every home game. Second to none. Anyways, does anyone know of a real good bar right near Wrigley that would cater to a huge Notre Dame fan? The Cubs game should finish right about the time the ND game would start. While I would prefer to go to Chicago on Friday, if there is a place that could enhance the ND experience nearby, that would be pretty cool.
I have lived in South Bend all of my life, and even if I didn't, I'm pretty sure I would be a Notre Dame fan. Greatest tradition in college football, maybe even all sports. I'm not going to turn this into a thread about defending Notre Dame or my fandom. Notre Dame isn't the most talked about college football team for no good reason.
Go Irish! And thanks for the bar suggestions. I will look into them, and am willing to hear about more. You can probably see me on the Cubs' game telecast. I will have a throwback Montana jersey on.

But seriously the Irish suck.
Not for long!
I know everyone has said this before all of their past head coaches since Lou, but Brian Kelly has the track record for turning programs in the right direction, the right way (ahem...rich rod). Now he will have 4 and 5 star talent to do it with.
You're right....instead of practicing for twenty minutes too long, we should be paying our players and recruiting convicts......funny thing is our PR would probably be better than it is now if that was the case.
