Drop Morneau? WHIR

Postby dubstar » Mon Aug 30, 2010 3:30 pm

We only have 1 DL spot and I have him and Kinsler on the DL. I think it's time to drop him and get some production for the playoffs(already locked a spot, start next week). I also need to monitor Roberts' health throughout this week.

I could grab any of these guys to plug in at UTIL. I could also drop another player like D Young...

S Drew, G Sanchez, a Jackson, D Stubbs, R Bernadina, C Headley

12 Team H2H. OBP, R, HR, RBI, SB, K
W, L, K, ERA, WHIP, SV

C Posada
1B Dunn
2B Roberts
3B Logoria
SS Ramirez
OF J Upton, D Young, Raburn
UTIL Scott
BN Kinsler
DL Morneau

SP Jimenez, Lilly, Billingsley, Niemann, A Sanchez, De la Rosa, G Gonzalez
RP Nunez, Capps, Hanrahan

Kinsler should be playing by the weekend, teams rarely put guys on the DL once rosters expand, might as well leave him there now

I guess I'm asking if you guys think Morneau will contribute anytime over the next few weeks?

If not, then I am better off grabbing one of these guys off the waiver to help me win now.

Don't think that anyone is going to be able to give you a for sure answer on Morneau's possible production from now til the end of the year, simply because no one knows for sure how he will come back.

If it were me I would roll the dice and keep him, if nothing else he locks up a bench spot. But if you drop him and someone else grabs him and he lights it up again then it burns you twice as hard. Keep Morneau and Kinsler.

I don't think Morneau's coming back this year. That being said, nobody on your list is worth taking the chance and dropping him.
