I'm looking more toward 2011 in my keeper leagues than I am for 2010. Are there any minor leaguers who might be called up and could be worth something next year?
I have my eye on Jenrry Mejia. He had two great outings in AA, each 7 innings, no runs, just a few hits. He pitches in AAA Mon, 8/30 and I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the Mets soon.
Anyone have others?

Cleveland could make some interesting call-ups. Jason Kipnis, Lonnie Chisenhall, Nick Weglarz, Carlos Carrasco & Alex White could all be starters in '11.
Tanner Scheppers should be added to the TEX pen.
Angels could call up Hank Conger, but Scoscia has already shown how much he likes hit first catchers.
Wilson Ramos should get called up in WAS as it's likely he's he '11 starter behind the plate.
Jesus Montero is the other guy to grab for keeper leagues that don't let you pickup a player till he makes his MLB debut.
Another one I had almost forgotten about. Brandon Allen, Arizona. LaRoche is a free agent and I can't see him coming back next year, so Allen will probably be the Diamondbacks 1st baseman in 2011.

I am interested how much time Freeman will get playing behind DLee. I think he has a chance to earn the job next year with a good spring.
Alonso should see time in the OF, because he wont be taking Votto's place anytime soon (unless Votto needs a day off). I heard speculation a year or so back that Votto would be moved to the OF for Alonso, but that seems unlikely with Votto's MVP like numbers.
Jeffress should eventually claim the closers role as long as he can avoid bud.
Desmond Jennings will likely struggle to find playing time initially, especially with fellow OF Baldelli and Hawpe getting the call as well. He has good SB numbers in the minors, and could develop into a Crawford type of player (some power, good SB, good average).
I think if the Reds were planning on Alonso playing in the OF then he would have played more than 1 game in the OF during the last month (firstinning.com). It does create a situation this offseason since Votto has said (IIRC) that he wants to play 1B. and Alonso might not be athletic enough to play OF. I haven't tracked when they stopped trying to use him in the OF but it wouldn't surprise me if this was one of the reasons that he struggled early in the season and he has been hitting well the last two months.

Do you think Jeffress has a chance to close next year? Or do they stick with Axford or some other possibility. In the closer thread you have M. Rogers as closer of the future, but no clue how close he is to the bigs.
