High Quality Free Agents - Drop / Add or Stay Put? WHIR.

9 Team Roto League. Redraft. Currently in second place by 3 points.

A few other teams have made some curious drops recently.

Available players that I have interest in are Pablo Sandoval, Shin-Soo Choo, Adam Lind, Andrew McCutchen.

My thoughts are drop Polanco to add Sandoval and drop one or both of Gardner and Stanton for one or two of the available OFs.

I have one droppable pitcher: Brandon Morrow

Thoughts?

My roster:

C: Buster Posey
1B: David Ortiz
2B: Robinson Cano
3B: Placido Polanco
SS: Jose Reyes
LF: Josh Hamilton
CF: Chris Young
RF: Andre Ethier
Util: Brett Gardner, Mike Stanton
BN: Ryan Braun
DL: Ryan Howard

Choo for Gardner is a no brainer, IMO. he'll still steal bases for you but he can put the ball in the seats as well.

agreed, go for choo, otherwise its really a question of what you need/who you think will perform in the last few weeks. stanton's hot, so id hold on to him, sandoval could be good but who knows, i wouldn't argue against lind or mccutchen either but im not sure they're huge improvements in any area. id be fine with dropping morrow for any of those...his remaining schedule is brutal.

Grab Choo and McCutchen. Drop Gardner and Stanton. Avoid Sandoval, he had a good first full year and has since been nowhere near those numbers...looks like the entire league minus the Giants are aware of the hole in his swing.

Drop Gardner, grab Choo. McCutchen has cooled off a lot, but is worth watching... if he heats up, grab him quick!

Looking forward to back to back championships in 2011!
