Should I use my last waiver pick??

Postby oldmanbean » Sun Aug 15, 2010 12:07 am

Currently in first place by around 350 pts, averaging around 320 pts a week. I have one waiver pick left,a nd I am debating if I should use it now, or hold on to it for an emergency.

My thoughts are to firm up my pitching for the home stretch. My choices are Daniel Hudson, Vargas, Niese, or Gio Gonzalez.

So, would you use the last waiver now, and if so, who would you pick?? I would drop Broxton btw.

Thanks!

Can you get a better second catcher than your #1s backup?

Daniel Hudson - he's been lights out.

Niese is the most intriguing of these, has the least wear on his arm and least likely to be shut down early.

I'd hold off for now.

What RP are available?

perhaps, but I like Cervelli because if Posada goes down I know he will play.

Daniel Hudson - he's been lights out. Agreed

Niese is the most intriguing of these, has the least wear on his arm and least likely to be shut down early.

true, but not much run support there.

I'd hold off for now.

problem is we are strictly points, so saves are not necessary. You can have 10 SP, 10 RP, any combo thereof.

still i think picking up soria and strengthening your RP position should do you some good. If not maybe hudson is big pickup. Not sure if to lose waiver position but thats up to you
