8 player deal...WHIR

Postby CubsFan4Life23 » Sat Aug 14, 2010 3:40 pm

12 teams H2H, 4 player keeper...I am currently in 5th place, looking to see if I should do this deal

I just got Wainwright, who I will be keeping along with Upton, Cabrera and Tulowitzki

I give: Lester, Garcia, Berkman and Aramis Ramirez
I get: Kershaw, N Feliz, Choo and CHris Johnson

Worth it? IF I am trying to make a run for the title? Unless you think I should keep LEster over someone else? Also what to do with Broxton?

my team:
Montero
Cabrera/Butler/Berkman
Phillips
Tulo
ARam
Upton
Ellsbury
Pence
Victorino
Santana DL

Wainwright/ Hanson/ Lilly/ Garcia/ Lester/ Sanchez
Broxton/ Storen/ BEll

I dont see the point here. I rather have the Lester side for this year.

I don't like the trade either, I don't think you get enough help to trade a potential keeper in Lester. As for the four current keeps, Cabrera, J-Up, Tulo for sure, then either Lester or Waino per your preference. If you can trade during the offseason try to package whichever one of those 2 SP will net you more to possibly upgrade Tulo.

Yeah, for what you're giving up, you're not getting enough in return - especially in a league with only 4 keepers, trading someone who you'd keep is a big deal. I think you've got to roll with who you've got.

Okay...so he proposed this deal to me...the same guy.

I give him: ARam, Berkman, Lester and Garcia

I get: Ethier, Feliz, Kershaw and Johnson

now is it worth it?

or do I take out johnson and Aram?

im keeping wainwright over lester. but not sure about tulo.

I think Kershaw will be the best pitcher in fantasy baseball some day...sooner rather than later too.

If I understand correctly...you can keep any 4 guys on your roster as many years in a row as you want. If that's the case I'd do the trade you last posted but take out ARam and Johnson. Johnson will take a while to get really good...if ever. ARam is still showing power and should help a bit more than Johnson this year.

After the trade I'd keep: Kershaw, Upton, Tulo, and Cabrera. You'll end up losing a lot of good players. And I'd rather have Tulo than Upton cuz SS is much slimmer. So if you wanted to keep Wainwright than keep him over Upton...I assume you'll have a chance at getting some good pitching or OF's in the draft but there's no way you're getting an elite SS.

Thanks for the help with mine.

Hey man, thanks for the help with mine. I don't love this trade either, but I think getting Wainwright was huge. He is a beast and will obviously help your team. Also, def keep Tulow over Upton without a doubt. As you mentioned, finding a good SS is much harder than getting a solid outfielder.
