In my roto keeper league we keep 5 players at the expense of their draft round (shown in brackets below). I'm looking to go into next year with a rounded group of players with good round values and upside. Longoria is obviously a lock, and Posey is a near lock, but I'm interested in what others think beyond them. Factor in round values into your selections!
Which 5 players from the selection below would you keep?
Tim Lincecum (5) Gavin Floyd (11) Buster Posey (12) Adam Lind (14) Evan Longoria (16) Nick Swisher (19) Starlin Castro (24) Angel Pagan (24) Madison Bumgarner (24)
Tougher to say not knowing the size of the league, but imo floyd should be available around 11 next year and swisher is too fluky year to year to keep, and I don't fully trust Pagan to be consistent yet. That leaves 6 and I would say that Lincecum will still carry his value and should be kept, Posey and Longoria should be locks at their value and I like Lind to bounce back (he is showing great signs over the last 1.5 months. That leaves the decision for number 5 b/w Castro and Bumgarner and really depends on if you like SS or P at that value. I would say Castro as I always like keeping hitters over pitchers (less risk of injury dampening), but it all depends on your opinion. Hope this helps.
Lincecum, Posey, Lind and Longoria seem like easy choices to me. The last spot to me is between Castro and Pagan. I'd go with Pagan but I can see the value in keeping Castro.

Castro vs. Bumgarner is a close call, but I'm leaning towards Castro because of the lack of depth at SS, his youth, and his 24th round value.
Lind vs. Pagan is also a close call - Pagan has been a savior for my team this year, but I still have faith that Lind will rebound and be a big value for me next year.
