Potential Huge Trade, help? WHIR!

Postby Bravos of Steel » Wed Aug 11, 2010 12:01 am

I've been offered Torii Hunter and Dominic Brown for my Justin Verlander. I love Verlander, but my OF is probably the weakest point on my team, and my pitching staff is wicked. However, I tend to favor stud pitchers as well. This is also a keeper league where we can keep 4 players from our team. What do I do? Leave a link, I'll 100% return the favor.

Domonic Brown will lose most if not all of his PT when Victorino comes back and if you only keep 4 he doesn't count as a keeper, so it really comes down to Hunter vs. Verlander. I would tend to think that the upgrade from Davis or Markakis to Hunter as a starter is not as big of a difference as the downgrade from Verlander, so I wouldn't do it, especially since I would doubt that Hunter would be one of your 4 keepers. So I would say no to the deal.

I think you should be able to target a better outfielder than Hunter. Id see if you can possibly land a Nelson Cruz type bat. I see him finishing the season strong.
