The deal:

I give: Ellsbury, Hernandez, Cordero

I get: Chris Young (D-Backs), Jimenez, Papelbon

I'd do it. After a very rough patch, Ubaldo's control is back, and he will have a strong finish. Ellsbury is a great player, but carries more risk than C.B. Young.

I'd do it: No guarantee that Ellsbury steals, so that makes the OF part more even (although you may be giving a bit there), Ubaldo will get more Ws, so that gives you an edge there and Paps is better than Cordero. It is close and really comes down to your valuation of Ellsbury know and of C.Young keeping up the BA.

very close call for me. considering how risky Ellsbury is right now, i'd probably accept the deal, but if Ellsbury returns to last year's form, i'd have to say you're probably losing the deal. but i doubt that happens.

you got a very good deal if you ask me. the three guys that you got could all arguable be better than their counterpart in the trade the rest of the way.
