Need help in pitching. WHIR!

My pitching has tanked bad, I have a strong offense that's keeping me in the money. It's a very tight race I think 10 points separates 3rd and 4th (money spots) from eighth place. First and second are out of reach, but I'm currently in third and hope to stay in the money. I'm last (12) in ERA, 11th in K's and 7th in WHIP. I was offered Verlander for Rivera/Fuentes. I'm solid in saves, fifth and currently have five on the active roster. This is a 12-team roto (standard stat + Holds/OBP) keeper league. Here's my active lineup:

C -B. Posey, J. Castro
1B - J. Votto
2B - D. Pedroia (DL) F. Lopez
SS- I. Desmond
3B - E. Longoria
CI - A. Beltre
MI - A. Cabrera
OF - J. Upton, N. Cruz, C. Gonzalez
U - C. Rasmus, J. Bruce, C. Barmes

SP - Z. Greinke, D. Price, M. Latos, M. Leake, A. Simon (RP)
RP - M. Rivera, B. Wagner, B. Fuentes, J. Hanrahan

Would you do this deal hoping to improve enough in ERA/WHIP/K's to solidify my spot in the third or fourth money spots? WHIR!!!

I don't mind this deal; however, I would much rather prefer trading Rivera and Hanrahan for Verlander.

If there are any available solid closers left in your league, then definitely do it...Verlander will give you plenty of strikeouts and a few quality starts..which are definitely worth it...Its not that your pitching is bad, its just very shallow
