First off, it seems like my team should be renamed "The Walking Infirmary". I am currently in the midst of the playoff chase without my starting 2B, SS, #3 starter and a key reliever (not to mention Teahen on rehab).

With that said, I have been shopping my OFers due to depth on the roster and farm. A manager has been targeting Holliday hardcore, while I have been seeking an upgrade at 3B and/or SP depth.

I have been offered the following trade:

I send: Matt Holliday

I receive: Casey McGehee and Cole Hamels

While I think this trade is respectable, I don't know if it is worth it. McGehee has been awful since his hot April start, and while Hamels provides that #3/4 starter behind Wainwright and Johan (and possibly Cahill), I think that Arrieta, Mejia, Mazarro and company could develop into pitchers comparable to Cole.

On the other hand, my roster is aging. With my key hitters being Pena, Holliday, Werth and Dunn, with Johan a key part of my rotation, I am led to believe the window of opportunity is closing. I have been trying to sell Pena and Johan, while keeping Holliday, Werth and Dunn, but it is easier said than done.
