NEED HELP QUICK SHOULD I MAKE THIS PITCHING CHANGE?! WHIR!!

Postby Oman0123 » Mon Aug 02, 2010 1:54 pm

Im really really high on travis wood. But Im torn on who I should drop or if I should even make the move? My staff is as follows

Sabathia
Scherzer
Colby Lewis
Zito
Jonathan Sanchez
Brandon Morrow ( Dont really want to lose the start today)
Latos
Jurrjens

Is Wood gonna be in the rotation the rest of the year?

If its jus tthis year, Id drop Scherzer for him. I dont know much about the Wood kid, but Scherzer has been nothing special lately, and seems to throw a ton of pitches and not work far into ball games.

Here is a little piece about him on espn....

Travis Wood passed his toughest test, a road matchup against the Brewers, with flying colors, picking up his first win along the way. Humorously enough, Wood has been dropped in 6 percent of the ESPN universe over the past week; they must not read this column! The offenders should pick him right back up, because he's a recommended play against the Pirates, a punching bag for most competent pitchers. Particularly impressive is that five of Wood's six starts have come on the road, yet he's still managed to strike out 27 batters in 31 2/3 road innings.

Here is a link for his statline. Id suggest looking at him. if i were you

If you like him then I would drop Scherzer for him. I always have players that I just have gut feelings on and if you are wrong you aren't losing a stud in Scherzer, yeah he gets great k numbers, but he just always seems to implode at some point. So again, if you have a feeling about Wood, I'd do it.

Help?
