D. Lee, Pena, or A. LaRoche?

Postby teezy33 » Mon Aug 02, 2010 10:55 am

Who do you like for the home stretch?

I've had Lee on my team all year, I think it's time to swallow my pride and cut him loose, but I'm afraid that as soon as I do he's going to just start tearing it up to spite me. I can try to make a trade for Pena, but he's down a bit this year, he's a little dinged up, and I'd love to not alter my pitching corps for what might prove to be a minor upgrade. LaRoche is a solid guy 2nd half, and seems like the best option of the three to start at 1b, but I only have 3 waiver moves left and I'm hesitant to burn one unless I'm making a solid upgrade for the long haul. Thoughts?

Id stick with Lee. Laroche's numbers look nice...but he goes through long stretches of nothing, then has huge games like the one last night. If Lee continues to falter, then maybe Id consider it more, but I just dont like Laroche's inconsistencies

MANY people have LaRoche on their second half lists because every year he just seems to have nice second half numbers. If you are tired of Lee then I think either of them would be good for you. Pena can put up huge numbers in a hurry on that team, but he can also destroy a team average. If you want all around stats I'd go LaRoche, if you really want HR/RBI then Pena.
