In a 16-team H2H league, standard 5x5. This is a current deal that's getting quite a bit of flack:
Team A gets:
Mariano Rivera
Joe Mauer
Team B gets:
Adam Dunn
Jorge Posada
The team trading away Posada/Dunn has shown Dunn's average and power and states that it's worth more than Mariano, who is "purely Saves", and that Mauer's not power-inclined anymore, noting Posada has twice the homers.
The team trading away Mauer/Mo says that they're willing to punt saves to add more to their hitting lineup (and focus on hitting). The owner says that she (!) drafted Mauer to be like he was last year, and he just isn't the same.
Those that oppose the deal say that Mauer will bounce back and closers are too rare to deal away. If you were the commissioner of a league and this deal was shown to you for approval (assuming you know for a fact no collusion is involved), would you veto it? Thanks guys.

Valuewise, Team A is getting the better end of the deal, IMO, but I don't see how you can veto it. I wouldn't veto it.

Valuewise, I'd say it's pretty even. Closers are too rare to trade? Really, here is a couple of questions: Are there any new closers that are free agents after yesterday's flurry of activity? Drew Storen? Perez in Cleveland? Michael Wuertz for the next week or so (how long is Bailey out)? Especially in a 5x5. 4x4 maybe, 6x6 closers no way are worth that much, 5x5 is in the middle.
Depending on the standings and needs, I'd take Dunn over Rivera.
Help with mine:

If both guys are competitors, it looks good to me. Nobody in the league likes it when a good team improves!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see how you can veto this trade. It looks like people are targeting certain categories which is common this time of year.
