In a matter of three days Astros fans lost two players that would make a very short list of greatest Astros of all time. True, they should have probably made the moves a couple years ago but it still has to be a shock for the fans.

Not a Houston fan but live here now and the fans aren't shocked by this. Everyone has been waiting for these guys to get dealt all season. The fans even wanted them to get traded to contenders, even if it means a reduced return for Houston, despite both having no trade clauses so they could say where they'd go anyway. There's a tremendous amount of respect for both guys, they'll be getting standing ovations every time they come back to Minute Maid. Houston knows it's a terrible, terrible team that needs to rebuild, Berkman and Oswalt are veteran assets, it had to be done. Everyone is just waiting for the new era to begin. The fans here were actually afraid that those guys would be kept because the owner wants to sell the team and trading away those two guys obviously brings revenue/value down sharply.
