I'm on the fence with this trade.

I'm in a 12-team roto (standard stat + Holds/OBP) keeper league and I was just offered a trade of his Beltre/Bruce/Latos for my Fielder/Simon/J. Montero. I'm pretty tempted to pull the trigger, but thought I would run it by here. My team:

C - Posey
C - Castro
1B - Fielder
2B - Pedroia (DL) F. Lopez
SS - Desmond
3B - Longoria
MI - A. Cabrera
CI - Votto
OF - Cruz
OF - J. Upton
OF - C. Gonzalez
U - Rasmus
U - J.D. Drew
U - A. Jackson

SP - Greinke
SP - Price
SP - Leake
SP - Niese
SP - Simon (RP)
RP - Rivera
RP - Wagner
RP - Rodney
RP - Fuentes

Thoughts? WHIR as always!

Doh! I have Longoria at third, and Joey Votto as my corner. I changed my post to reflect that. Good catch. ;-D

I'm thinking that Votto is moving into elite status for first baseman, making Prince expendable. Also hoping I can catch Bruce's owner sleeping.

Yeah, I'd go for it. I'm a big believer in Bruce. He's been good-not-great this year, but the breakout is coming. Latos isn't just some thrown in, he's a great young pitcher in the best park in the game for pitchers. Not sure where you'd play Beltre...maybe see if you could nix that part, and you don't have to give up Montero.

Beltre is in there because it gives me a little bit more in the power numbers, plus I'm out a CI when I slide Votto to first. But yeah, still looking at holding onto Montero. He was wanting Rasmus, but when I mentioned Montero, that got him interested.

Seems like a good trade. I think Fielder is goign to have an enormous second half.

The only thing that i worry about is Latos. He's young and his arm is getting tired. He's probably due a decent sized regression.

I'd stay put. Fielder is the best keeper of the bunch. Bruce has been hyped for 3 years now and has yet to reach his potential. Latos is good, but not worth Fielder.

stay put
