I assume he is a fan favorite, but his contract is very enticing and thus teams would likely pay a pretty penny for him as he is a guaranteed 100+ RBI guy on any team except AZ. I realize that the contract could be the exact reason why AZ wants to keep him, but they ant reasonably expect to compete in the next year or two. Any chance he goes?
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
Not a bad idea, but I don't know how many people are offering. Reynolds' stick is pretty Adam Dunn-like, and the Nationals haven't managed to move Dunn either.
If you want a Haren-like package back for Reynolds, sure, the D-backs could get something. But you're not going to weasel a top-40-50 prospect out of a contender for Reynolds at this point.
apparently the only players the D-Bags aren't listening to offers on are Upton, Montero, Kennedy and Chris B Young.
To further solidify the belief that the Arizona Diamondbacks may not be done trading, ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick reports via Twitter that GM Jerry DiPoto is discussing everyone except outfielders Justin Upton and Chris Young, right-hander Ian Kennedy and catcher Miguel Montero.
Why can't you win with a guy like him? I don't understand why people make stupid comments like this. The guy has a career 835 OPS and a slick glove, and he costs peanuts. The Diamondbacks can't win with him, and the Nationals can't win with Adam Dunn, but that has a LOT more to do with the other 24 players on their respective rosters than with Reynolds and Dunn themselves. Tampa seems to do alright with Carlos Pena, which is "a guy like him".
