Halladay Trade?

I know I haven't been on here in a long time but our trade deadline is coming up quick and I'd like some advice.

I'm being offered:
Uggla and Beckett for Halladay

This is a keeper league as well and my 2nd base is pretty bad at the moment. Uggla would be able to provide some pop in my squad. I guess my only concern with this trade is Beckett. The dude can be a stud when he's healthy but he's always injured. Is this worth it at all? Thanks in advance.

Thats tough, cause you're right; Beckett is a stud or is whining about his back... Halladay is just chuggin along winning and pitching CGs. For me it depends on how bad your 2B is. If youre running mazier izturis out there, then I'd take the deal. If you got someone like aaron hill, then I'd hang onto Halladay..

I actually would take either. I love Halladay just like the rest of us but you are getting good return for him. You might be able to get more for him if you shop him around but if Beckett is healthy you win out in the deal. Also, I like Wright over Halladay as well in the counter if you do that.

So long as Beckett stays healthy and regains his old form - I think you win this deal. Uggla is an upgrade, and one of the best fantasy 2B year in year out. As long as this doesn't boot a solid keeper (e.g. where you would be in a position of keeping Halladay + solid keeper vs. Beckett + Uggla), I say do this deal.

**As an aside, I would definitely shop Halladay. Everyone will listen, and you can see what value the rest of the league places on him, and get potentially get an even better deal than this.
