Trade McCann for...??? WHIR

Postby seansinclair0077 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 2:01 pm

So I have two solid catchers in McCann and Santana....I need to upgrade my pitching so I'm looking to move McCann thinking I'll get someone a little better. Another manager has said he's interested, who should I target on his roster? My roster is in my signature.

It's a 12 team, H2H league, keep 5 every year, 5X5 scoring

Francisco Liriano
Trevor Cahill
Brian Wilson
Leo Núñez
J.A. Happ
Chris Pérez
Roy Halladay
Tommy Hunter
Matt Garza
Jair Jurrjens
C - B. McCann, Santana
1B - Teixeira, Dunn (OF),
2B - B. Phillips
3B - Reynolds (1B), M. Young,
SS - Jeter,
OF - Braun, Quentin, C. Young
SP - Webb, Burnett, Shields, Hudson, Pelfrey, Hughes, Morrow, E. Jackson, B. Myers
RP - Lidge, Qualls, Rauch

Tough one. McCann is not enough to get: Brian Wilson, Roy Halladay.

I doubt the guy would give up Francisco Liriano.

You'd be losing out on Chris Perez, Cahill, Happ.

That leaves Garza, Jurrjens, Hunter, and Nunez as targets. I'd ask for 2 of those 4 to start. Maybe Hunter and Nunez. Not sure what his C situation is like (how desperate he is). If he's desperate, it could be worth going after Liriano. But I'd say 2 of the previously mentioned 4 might be a better place to start.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

I agree with pieco, Hunter is decent, I think Garza is a huge sell high guy, but I def like Liriano... throw out two names, start with one of the SP's and Wilson, then work down from there...

Good Luck
I guess there was no curse... Boston just sucked for 86 years...
