Kinsler to the 15-day DL

FFFFFFFUUUUUUU- this guy just can't stay on a field for long at all, can he?

Rangers placed 2B Ian Kinsler on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 28, with a strained left groin.

We're not sure how that switched from an injury to his left leg to his groin, but the point is he won't be available to fantasy owners for the next two weeks. It's yet another tough blow in what has amounted to a frustrating season. Kinsler has been limited to just 76 of the team's 101 games this season and just hasn't been the elite source of power and speed we were hoping for, in large part due to his ankle injury. Andres Blanco and Joaquin Arias figure to split playing time at second base during his absence.

An MRI Tuesday revealed Kinsler (groin) still has some inflammation, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Recommendation: The new results will keep Kinsler from swinging the bat for another week, and he may not be swinging a bat in a game until the end of the month.

If you play through September like I do, keep him. It's not him that wants to be sitting, it's Texas being ultra-careful.
