Pick 1 of these 3 players for rest of the season

Postby Whosyomamma » Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:13 pm

If this were your team which of these players would you rather have for the rest of season, Gaby Sanchez, Neil Walker, or Gordon Beckham?

N.Walker(2B,3B) - is available now
G.Beckham(2B,3B) - needs to clear waivers
G.Sanchez(1B) - well as you can see is on my team now, acquired him with T.Hanson for C.Lewis and Ad.Jones.

Here is my team and league details (10-team H2H League - Weekly Rosters)
Start C,1B,2B,3B,SS,IF,4-OF,Util,5-SP,2-RP (Stats = R,HR,RBI,SB,BB,AVG,W,L,SV,K,ERA,WHIP)

I like Beckham the best.
If you can't get him then I try Walker.

Sanchez will post the best numbers out of those 3 over the remainder of the season.

Pick up Walker..he should be fine and won't cost you a waiver claim.

Help?

Losing a waiver claim for the above, (Beckham) might not be worth it especially this time of year, when people are making lots of moves and higher waiver order is nice to have.

Walker should equal Beckham's talent down the stretch, but if its a keeper, I would lean towards Beckham, who has gotten hot of late. Not that Walker hasn't. Looked really good in the recent series @ Colorado. (2 Homers 6 RBI's I believe)

Beckham has an elite skill set compared to the others and the way he has beem swinging three stick lately i really doubt the others produce him. Sure gaby has a nice on base percentage and walker is as hot as beckham right now but beckham doesn't have flaws in his game like the others (gaby and power/walker and strike zone judgement...look at his bb/k ratio)

I def'd go with gordon beckham now that he's out of his massive slump

Beckham by quite a bit, even with the waiver claim loss... if someone dropped Beckham as hot as he is, then I can't imagine your league is too deep and the waiver claim is not as valuable.
