Oswalt and Brown for Delmon Young?... WHIR

Postby donald17 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 7:35 am

14-team, yahoo, h2h, standard 5x5 scoring (currently in 7th place, 6 teams make playoffs)

C - Carlos Santana
1B - Mark Teixeira
2B - Aaron Hill
3B - Aramis Ramirez
SS - Alexei Ramirez
OF - Matt Kemp
OF - Adam Jones
OF - Jason Kubel
UTIL - Adam LaRoche
BN - Domonic Brown

SP - Felix Hernandez
SP - Jered Weaver
RP - Rafael Soriano
RP - Francisco Cordero
P - Mike Leake
P - Kris Medlen
P - Gavin Floyd
P - Roy Oswalt
BN - Vin Mazzaro
BN - Tom Gorzelanny
BN - Barry Zito
BN - Jeremy Hellickson
DL - Jordan Zimermann

I give Oswalt and Brown, I get Delmon Young.

I'm currently a few games out of the last playoff spot and my team has been struggling offensively recently and currently ranks 5th in R, 5th in HR, 10th in RBIs, and 13th in AVG. With the way Young has been playing he could provide me with a nice offensive boost. I could also probably get his kelly johnson for my aaron hill thrown in with this deal if you think that sweetens it for me. Leave your thoughts on this deal and also a link. Thanks ;-D

I would do this. Brown is not guaranteed to perform this year (he could, but he's more likely to be a fantasy stud 1-2 years from now), and while Oswalt is great, you have a good enough pitching staff to take the hit.

I love Delmon Young. I think he's legit, and I think he's going to be putting up numbers like he has the past two weeks or so, for the rest of the season. Do it.

I would do this because you are pretty set at pitching and no one remembers that Young was the top prospect in the MLB a year or two ago so do you think this hot streak is a coincidence???? I think not. Also I have no expectations for Brown for the remainder of this season.

I would do it. Delmon is looking like the real deal and will bring a massive boost to your offence and your staff looks solid enough for a 14 teamer without Oswalt.

Jurys still out on Brown. No denying he's a massive talent but who knows what he'll give you this year.
