Price is the best player in the deal, so I'd be inclined to pick that side.
I have Billy Butler this year in a fairly important league, and I have to say that I have been sooo disappointed. 9 HR? I mean, come on. LaPorta does everything Butler doesn't (and doesn't do everything Butler does, haha). They're like complete opposites. Butler provides a great average, but honestly, he has struggled providing anything else. Gonzalez is a solid pitcher, but I like Price a lot better long term.
I'll say Price/LaPorta is the better side of the deal. Unless Butler magically starts hitting for power in the near future. I've learned the hard way that 1B needs to be a power guy. I'm suffering big time because of it.

I like the Price side as well. He is the best player in the deal and LaPorta seems to have figured things out since being called up. he is also eligible for OF and 1B though that may change next year.

I'm seeing Butler still going higher in current mock drafts, maybe people think he turns on the power switch like last year in the second half? I try to project players in dynasty leagues and I think butler can be a 310+ with 20=25hr power in his prime he is still only 24yr old too. He'd be my IF starter and hitters> pitchers. I do like price but pitching in AL east isn't optional to me. I also like the growth of Gio this yr. Still kinda

undecided here
