Pods is a bench bat on a 3rd place team, and the Dodgers will be lucky to finish 3rd ..
go padres!
The catcher (May) is a bit meh, he keeps repeating levels and has a little bit of pop, Elisaul Pimentel is a A-level SP lottery ticket, but his numbers this year are pretty good (9+ K/9, 3ish BB/9, 5 HRs allowed from 88odd innings).
yeah i get baseball reference too.
Pimentel is intriguing. well he was. now he is in the AL Central. pass.

Score more runs? Will he attempt to steal as many bags as he did in KC? Just wanted your thoughts because I was pondering whether to pick him up or not.
I own Pods and I can't think of a worse thing happening to his value than him getting traded to a team with Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier and Manny Ramirez.
Yeah, this is not so good. Even in the 2-3 weeks left where he gets regular PT before Manny's return, if he slots into the No. 8 batting hole, he's toast. I'll be watching Friday to see where he's deployed.
Horrible for his fantasy value once Manny gets back, but who knows if Manny stays healthy. He's been on and off the DL for huge chunks of time this year.

Really neither of the prospects are anything that will hurt the Dodgers. But it's nice to see Moore get some sort of return out of a 2 month rental of Pods. May will likely become the backup to Kendall next season with Pena never really showing his bat was up to the promise. He is probably better than AJ Ellis who the Royals were supposedly targeting before the season, hopefully he can hold the job a year or so after Kendall is gone and before Myers or Pina are ready to take over full time.
Pimentel is sort of just a bonus in the deal. Hard to say if his numbers this season are for real since it such a jump in his K rate. Likely he is just more minor league depth who may become a mid-reliever some day.
at first i was ecstatic to hear that LA traded for him, because it meant the Giants wouldn't make a dumb move for a backup OF and weaken their farm (which is finally becoming solid after years or inadequacy).
but after thinking about it a little Pods actually wouldve fit nicely into the Giants system.... He couldve slotted into LF, Huff could go back to 1B, and Ishikawa could still come off the bench to PH. And along with torres it would give them 2 very fast, solid hitters at the top of the lineup. oh well, hope the giants do *something* to give them the boost they need to catch SD
