Well that was $10 million well spent.

Nobody would take our money (Beltre,Scutaro,Chapman) so we had to give it to someone.

And this philosophy doesn't sound like something you'd count as Mets fail because...?

Because if Sheets was Ben Sheets, Ace Pitcher and not someone on the way out we would have got something nice for him. It was certainly worth a shot, seeing as Plans A B C D E and F wouldn't play for Oakland even at gun point.
