Votto for Arod WHIR

Postby Guzman24 » Wed Jul 28, 2010 3:53 pm

Manager in my league is looking for a top tier 3b for Votto.

I can move Reynolds to 3b if trade him Arod.

Would you do it? It kinda messes up my felxibility though if Reynolds gets hurt though as I'll have no one to plug in at 3rd. Makes my team younger though :) Keeper league, keep 8 each year.

12 Teams H2H 5x5 OBP instead of AVG Keep 8

3B Arod

keeper league? oh my god yes you take this and run with it... i mean, votto's next few years should be nice as he approaches that mystical ~27 year old hitting prime and he seems to keep getting better and better and better and whilst a-rod has quietly gotten past vlad approaching 80 RBIs, i dont think his power is what it was, even in the new yankee stadium where the balls done fly out, and like... yeah. i mean if anything if anything you're assured of a stud at 1B and who knows, you could turn around and deal howard and/or votto for a better 3B in the future... votto is the #6 overall player in 5x5 roto this year, a-rod is 54... and like, votto's arrow is pointing up whilst a-rod's is pointing down. you'll figure out 3B, but if you get a chance for an elite player at the age of ~23 or 24 or 25 or whatever votto is, especially in a keeper league take it and run with it.

keep in mind howard is ~30 years old or something too. so getting a young 1B to keep where this owner thinks he's selling high... i'd take it and run with it.

EDIT: turns out votto is 27, a bit older than i thought... but still, i'd bet on his next few years being better than a-rods, and i'd run with it as votto seems to be reaching his peak or is at his peak right now, whereas a-rod has peaked and still puts up nice #s on the way down but like.... yeah.

Yes, I would trade Arod for Votto. If you didn't have reynolds, I would not do this deal because I value position scarcity very highly and 1b is going to be loaded next yr with power and talent, but I like that deal for you. Maybe you can then look to flip votto or howard for longo or zimm if you think reynolds @ 3b longterm is risky. But with all things considered, I like votto more than arod this yr if you have another elite 3b, and thats coming from a Yankee fan.

Help with mine?

Votto is twice the hitter A-Rod is, and is younger. Steal if you can pull it off.

I like this deal because you have Reynolds, go for it.
