This. When you consider age, production, and contract, Evan Longoria is the best 'keeper' in the entire MLB. I want to say FanGraphs just did a series of articles on it?

lol... seriously though, this is a good question.
Cabrera's contract is pretty hefty ($20/$20/$21/$21/$22/$22 through 2015), but they don't have anybody else locked up long-term that feels even close to as safe. Verlander's deal jumps up so quickly after this season that he's really in the same boat, and with his performance so far this year it's a crapshoot as to whether that will come back to bite the tigers come 2013+.
Valverde at $7/$7/($9-club option in 2012) doesn't look all that bad, but that's still a boatload of money for less than 100 innings of work each year.
I think Jacob Turner is the only other guy in the whole organization signed past 2011 on a major league deal. Tigers are pretty much a clean slate at this point.
Gotta go with Miggy, no matter how much money it costs.

just because a player got injured one season in his career doesn't mean he has injury concerns. look at games played and at-bats every other year, Reyes has always been one of the most durable players in baseball.
You obviously didn't follow the Mets a few years ago because Reyes has been injury plagued since he was in the minors and it finally caught up to him. Plus Wright has had the more consistent career besides last years mess.
