As we approach the trade deadline I was thinking about my keeper options in one of my leagues and got to thinking about current MLB teams. If MLB was going to start over and throw every player (with current salaries) back into a draft but would allow each team to keep one player, who would you keep and why?
As a Sox fan, I would keep Lester. Young, legit ace with a modest contract.
As an Orioles fan, (this is mostly a no brainer), I'd keep Markakis. Good, young outfielder. Really the only piece of the puzzle that is firmly in place for the future.

over Wieters?
If Markakis was still a 20/20 threat...ok maybe, but this season he's not even a 10/10 threat.

Yes, over Wieters. Markakis has already been an all star and he's hitting just about .300. His power has slowly started to come back, and Wieters hasn't really shown much to suggest he's going to fulfill his potential. I love Wieters, but I'd take Mark over him in a heartbeat.

I had the same thought initially, but on the flip side, what's there to get excited about with Wieters so far?
