It's tough to say at this point. I know the Phils have stated "once they've called up Brown .. they plan on starting him basically full - time." But, I don't know how much playing time or at bat's he's going to get once Shane comes back. They could still make a trade, but I don't think it's going to be Werth ... mainly due to all the injuries.

That is a good point, the OF will be crowded when Vic comes back and Werth doesnt get traded. Really it could be a platoon at both corners with Ibanez/Brown as LH and Werth/Francisco as RH.
Once Victorino comes back from the DL, they should just bite the bullet and bench Ibanez and play Dominic full-time. Ibanez has been awful since the second half of last year.

Not that I disagree on his performance, but his contract dictates that he'll play every day...

This.
Ibanez is making way too much money to sit in the Phils eyes. Man, that was an awful contract. Although, he's been hitting OK recently .... but I agree he is in major decline.

I never got this justification. The money at this point is dead money: it's paid to him regardless. Why harm yourselves further by playing him over someone who can be more effective?
