IIRC the Nationals invested more money in Stephen Strasburg in 2009 than they invested in their entire draft this year and that includes signing #1 overall pick Bryce Harper to a record contract for a position player. Because of his immense talent and the $ invested the Nats are ULTRA conservative in their handling of him. They pulled him out of the game last night for something that he has pitched though multiple times in College (assuming the MRI doesn't show anything more than the forearm strain the medical staff is diagnosing).
We should probably hold our Mark Prior comparisons until an MRI, CT-scan, or Xray actually show a significant injury (sorry to all the haters, but having a hard time getting your shoulder loose is not typically considered a significant injury, despite the fact that he was placed on the DL).
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.
