Furcal for Franklin?

Postby chargersfan36 » Mon Jul 26, 2010 10:22 am

Standard 12-team 5x5 roto league. I'm in first right now but just 4 points from fifth. On the table is my Furcal for his Franklin.

C - Montero
C - Torrealba
1B - Berkman
2B - Kinsler
3B - Longoria
SS - J. Reyes
CI - Zimmerman
MI - Uggla
OF - Bay
OF - Coghlan
OF - Stubbs
OF - S. Rodriguez
OF - Heyward
Util - Furcal
BN - G. Sanchez
DL - M. Ordonez
P - Kershaw
P - Cueto
P - J. Garcia
P - I. Kennedy
P - Wagner
P - Street
P - Putz
P - Kuo
P - Benoit
BN - Volquez
BN - Bumgarner
DL - M. Adams
DL - Holland

Holds isn't a category the RP's are just for ratios. I'm at 6 points for saves and 9 for SB's. After 7 points for saves the next guy is 19 saves ahead. For SB's there's just one guy on who is 12 back. Swapping Furcal would get Berkman and Sanchez in the lineup daily. Think I should shoot for more than Franklin?

WHIR thanks!

You'll only add one point at best with this trade if I'm reading correctly (because after that you have to make up 19 saves to get to the next point). Are there any other categories where other teams are close to catching you or where you are close to catching someone else, or are you pretty set otherwise in the standings? Because if you are set otherwise then then trade makes a good deal of sense for you I think and should cement your victory.

Help me?

Yeah, I think you stand pat on this...saves are so hit or miss...maybe give up someone who won't cost you steals, like a Berkman, for a lower tier closer?

Yeah I would keep Furcal too. With the type of year Berkman has had (I'm an Astro fan, I know), I wouldn't be looking to get him into lineup this urgently. Help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=417216&p=3304723#p3304723

Yeah Sanchez belongs in your starting lineup. I wouldn't do this deal. There's no need.
