Not a prospect in the bunch. Unless that PTNL is Mike Trout, I see this as a loss for the D'Backs.

LOL WHAT
Wow, what a tremendous coup for the Angels. This is the second major move in the last 8 months that is downright stupid for the D'Backs, unless the PTBNL is Trout or Reckling. Whoever replaced Josh Byrnes picked up RIGHT where he left off. Unbelievable.

Apparently when the D'backs said they wanted prospects and major league ready players, they really meant "anyone who has a pulse". Oh, I see ... so little did every other team in the league realize they could send their quadruple A players off to Arizona for a strong arm for the second half. Dammit Boston, you missed the boat!

Rotoworld says Mike Trout isn't involved. Therefore, it could be along the likes of Hank Conger, Trevor Reckling, Garrett Richards, or Peter Bourjos (according to John Sickels preseason ranks).

It better be, or Arizona needs to fire whoever made this trade immediately.
Yeah, it's definitely a head scratcher and would have been even if Trout was the last player involved. I know Haren's not having a great year, but he's still an ace.

Conger wouldn't make sense, since he's a catcher and the D'Backs already have Montero as a long-term solution, unless the plan is to flip one of them for someone else. Reckling is alright I guess but has limited upside. He's more polish than stuff, and those guys rarely come up bigger than #3 or #4 guys. Richards is meh and speedy OF prospects like Bourjos are a dime a dozen. If it isn't Trout, then Josh Byrnes v2.0 fails big time.
