How to replace Magglio & DeJesus?? WHIR

Postby lyons595 » Sun Jul 25, 2010 11:03 am

I was already shallow in the OF, but these hurt. I already made a few WW/FA moves to add Torres & Scott, but was it enough? I also have 2 trade offers on the table, trying to use some SP depth to add OF help.

Available on WW/FA: Pierre, R Davis, Ibanez, Drew, MOrgan, J Rivera, Gomes, Coglan.

ESPN, h2h, 14 team, 4 RP max, daily. Cats: avg, r, hr, rbi, sb; w, k, sv, era, whip. Non-keeper. I stream SP weekly.

C Miguel Montero
1B Carlos Pena
2B Rickie Weeks
3B Evan Longoria
SS Hanley Ramirez
OF Matt Holliday
OF Magglio Ordonez (DL)
OF Andres Torres
OF Luke Scott
UTIL Drew Stubbs

SP Cole Hamels
SP Tim Hudson
SP Jaime Garcia
SP Carl Pavano
SP Fausto Carmona (stream)
RP Mike Gonzalez
RP Matt Lindstrom
RP Juan Gutierrez
SP Rich Harden (DL)

ouch.

Move Mags to the DL, add Ibanez. He's having a tough year, but he is still in a productive lineup with RBI opportunities. And I'd consider dropping Luke Scott for Rivera or Gomes. I'm just not a LScott fan (except when he's streaking....no homo)

I think the Torres pickup with adequately cover the loss of DeJesus.

Good Luck

I'd agree with this. For the most part, but not a big fan of Ibanez. Gomes should be able to get you plenty of rbi's and some streak HR's ... but he's also got full time at bats too in a productive lineup. I'd consider Coghlan too .. even though he's been cold lately.

Help me out man?
