i think it's probably too early to buy him low, but i would still try. i don't like deal 2 because i don't think it's enough with werth. i like 1 or 3. however, ethier has been slumping while holliday is on fire, so that likely won't happen. #3 is more likely to get accepted. if you can get holliday, i would go for it, but i doubt you can get him and jimenez. ***if you're brave, you could offer up pujols, ortiz and liriano (or throw in pagan if needed) and ask for holliday, morneau, and jimenez. to me, that's a great deal. with morneau on the d/l, it could happen.

I like the idea of getting Ubaldo but don't expect his first half numbers again...ever. I like option 1 but option 2 and 3 seem like too little.

I like trade 3. Ubaldo's issues seem to be mechanical (http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci_15594757) so he should round back into form and be a great SP. But nobody can keep up the numbers he had in April-June.

I'm in the minority here, but I'd rather go with option #2. I just like Ethier better than Werth for the rest of the year. In either case (1 or 2), I'd offer Dempster rather than Liriano. Liriano's K/BB ratio has been sick and from the games I've watched, he just looks sharp and healthy.
