Hey all,
I was recently proposed to trade my 1B Adrian Gonzalez for SP Roy Halladay. The league is a 6x6 10 person league with 5 keepers.
Do I need Gonzalez's power as much as I think I do? How would you respond to this trade offer? Which 5 players would you keep? Thanks.
My team:
C: Joe Mauer
1B: Fielder
2B: Uribe
3B: Youkillis
SS: Bartlett
2B/SS: Aaron Hill
1B/3B: Gonzalez
OF:
Markakis
Hamilton
Beltran
Chris Young
Corey Hart
Util:
Aubrey Huff
Brendan Boesch
DL: Kendry Morales
Pitching staff:
Cliff Lee
Mat Latos
Jaime Garcia
Colby Lewis
A.J. Burnett
Clay Buchholz
Jonathan Sanchez
John Lackey
Billingsley
Phil Hughes

I should add that I'm still in contention (4th place) and leading the league in HR, RBI, AVG, OBP, and wins.

Who would be replacing Gonzalez in your lineup?

Why haven't you done this already? Halladay is the best pitcher in the game, and Gonzalez is a second tier 1B. You have Huff to fill in for him, and your position in the standings for power is quite strong. Lackey and Burnett are on a mission to ruin your fantasy team. Don't let them do it. Make the trade.

That's a good point, and Huff is having an amazing season so far. I would do that trade right now.

Something to keep in mind is the keeper value of each player. Without knowing the specifics of the league, I would guess that Halladay is a slightly better keeper, so there is an added bonus there.
