Trade Verlander & Reynolds for Longoria? Sorry 2nd Time

Postby kev8821 » Sat Jul 17, 2010 11:44 am

This trade is still sitting for me to accept and I still can't pull the trigger. Thanks to those who weighed in with their comments earlier this week.

I give Verlander and Reynolds and get Longoria.

My concern is am I losing my ace SP with a remaining field of Vasquez, Latos, Oswalt, Scherzer, Strasburg, Marcum, Chapman (going to finally drop) and Bedard (dl). Stras/Latos will have restricted innings and likely lose before the playoffs.

I know I can grab a few sp's from the wire but is it worth losing verlander and getting longoria?

I don't care about Reynolds. I've been benching him. His k's and average don't make up for his power.

I think your offense would carry you just fine and the addition of Longoria would not change that much plus the negitive stats on pitching would negate anything the offense does, I might look to move Reynolds for a up and comer 3rd like Freese or Alvarez, in my league I got Freese for Rolen who has been hot, but also is a injury risk and old not worth a keeper pick.

help with mine?
