Cordero or Street for Cuddyer? WHIR

Postby dubstar » Thu Jul 15, 2010 8:49 pm

I am moving one of these closers for Cuddyer. I can plug Cuddyer in at 3rd while Sandoval is sucking it up. Which closer should I move? Street is always an injury risk, Cordero has been struggling.

That's a tough one, because I think the Rockies and Reds are both going to be great, and thus provide save chances pretty regularly.

As far as I know, the Reds don't have much after Cordero (they wouldn't close with Rhodes). The Rockies have a few guys that have stepped into that role already this year, and thus offer more challenges to Street.

Street is more of an injury risk as well, like you said. I'd move Street I think. He's been pitching better than Cordero lately, and thus probably has more trade appeal anyway.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

i would say deal cordero.

street waited as long as he did to comeback because they wanted him completely healthy and it's paid dividends thus far.
since you already have a top 5 closer in soria, i think it's better to take the risk with street who will most likely have better numbers for the rest of the way than cordero.

one for Street, one for Cordero. Anyone else? He will take either for Cuddyer, I just need to decide which one to give him.

I would deal Cordero.

Street in his last 9 games: 5 Saves, 1 Win, 1 ER, 11 K's, 0 BB
