EDIT: There's a lot of things I hate, so I need to think for a while and narrow it down to the three I hate the most.

if you ever need help, i am a math teacher, and my original bachelors was in statistics. i'm sure i could make heads or tails of some of the stuff your teacher does a crappy job teaching you

Step 1: is it a Z-test, T-test, or chi-square test?
Step 2: perform proper test
Step 3: do the results fit the appropriate curve/table to .05 or .01?
Step 4: toast to success

How'd you know he's doing a crappy job? He hardly speaks any English so I'm basically teaching myself with the help of my tutor.

I might have to hit you up for some help at some point.
