PROPOSED TRADE: MY Scutaro/Liriano for HIS Furcal/Garza.
I'm currently in 1st place & this trade was offered by a manager whose team is currently in 2nd, soo I really can't afford to eff this one up!
My impression here is that Furcal is a DEFINITE upgrade over Scutaro in terms of BA/OBP/SLG, but I'm already leading the league in those categories. Furcal might end up with more RBI & HR's but I don't think by much. Furcal just reeks of a 2nd half DL stint as well, so I'm hesitant.
Liriano...ehhh, I dunno. I really, really, really want to believe he's just working the kinks out and is gonna have a dominant second half. I'm just not sure what to make of Garza. Liriano offers more K's, less HR's given up, lower ERA and WHIP, higher K/BB. Garza seems safe for more wins & possibly not as much of an injury risk with Garza. My pitching staff is either gonna win it or lose it for me in the 2nd half & I've currently got 3 starters on the DL coming back soon.
Overall, I'm stumped on this one. Seriously need input here! Leave a link.

The deal looks pretty even to me. It would help if you could tell me which categories you're struggling in and which you're doing well in. My gut says stand pat but I doubt this trade will make or break your season.
I believe the Liriano/Garza split is greater then the Furcal/Scutaro split. Scutaro should get more runs, but fewer SB. I think you keep Liriano and Scutaro, and smile every time Jacoby Ellsbury has a setback, leaving Scutaro at the top of that lineup.
I'd stand pat if I were you. Furcal will help you more in the stolen base department but this probably will be balanced out by your loss in the other pitching categories, plus I'd be extremely surprised if he ended up with an average over .300. Just my opinion though.
It's a pretty even trade. But if I were you I would just stay where I was. Furcal isn't a huge upgrade over Scutaro, and I think Francisco will regain his form in the 2nd half.
Sorry to repeat what others have said but yea the trade does not look worth it. Liriano will hopefully pull it together because he is a great source of K's. Furcal has been killing as of late so the owner offering him is probably trying to sell high. Stand pat and good luck!
