Northern Minnesotan's definitely have the Fargo accent. It's not exaggerated at all. That sing songy, everything sounds like a question accent is definitely real and all my inlaws have it.

Oh yeah, totally. I wasn't discounting that they do. I should have just said "from my personal experience the good people of South Dakota sound like characters from Fargo." The way I typed that insinuates that Minnesotan's do not...that's not what I meant.
