Postby Skimo77 » Wed Jul 14, 2010 12:04 pm

So the deal is i get Johan Santana, Leo Nunez and Matt Lindstrom and i give up Ryan Howard Jason Motte and Arthur Rhodes. I have Youk and Scott Rolen as my corner infielders.. is this a good deal?

Seems like a pretty even deal to me.

I will assume you are hurting @ RP for why you are making this deal.. If you are solid with the bat and hurting
at SP & RP then I would say give it a shot

Off the top of my head, I dont like this deal. You are giving up by far the best player in this deal. Lindstrom may give way to Lyon later this year. But would need to know who you have on your team before I can definitely say whether I would do the trade or not.

is nunez going to get traded and become a set up guy somewhere else?
I read that he is on the block. I have him too and he am a bit concerned.
that is the only problem i have in this fair deal.

Well my offense is top points across the board, and i have Rolen on the bench because i have no room for him. In the pitching department i have a decent staff but only 2 closers... so i feel i am losing a bit on offense, but gaining a lot in pitching... Now my offense stands as this :
C: Kurt Suzuki
1B: Kevin Youkilis
2B: Rickie Weeks
3B: Scott Rolen
SS: Hanley Ramirez
OF: Ryan Braun
OF: Matt Kemp
OF: Colby Rasmus
OF/Util: Chris Young
Bench:
Alfonso Soriano
Tyler Colvin
Chris Davis
Dexter Fowler

Pitching Staff:
SP: Cliff Lee
SP: Matt Cain
SP: Roy Oswalt
SP: Johan Santana
RP: Jose Valverde
RP: Francisco Cordero
RP: Leo Nunez
RP: Matt Lindstrom
SP: Ricky Romero
SP: Carlos Silva
SP: Colby Lewis

I dont think i would have pulled the trigger on this trade, like someone else mentioned, nunez may get traded and not be a closer anymore, santana hasnt been the santana of old, though he should ok the rest of the way and lindstrom should be a good source of saves if thats what you need. Not the worst trade but i would rather have ryan howard.

I could use some help:
