Need roto FA help - may have to make some tough drops

12 team 5x5 roto, yahoo league - standard 10 cats

This team has been up and down and I have been between 1st and 5th the whole season. Pretty strong (10 or 11 pts) in all offensive cats except avg, 4.5 pts there currently. On the pitching side, I've got 7-8 pts in Ks, ERA, and WHIP. A couple teams are hot on my tail in Ks, no where to go but up in ERA, and very tight race in WHIP. My worst cat is saves, although I'm climbing with Street and Lidge back closing. I have 10 in wins now, but VERY tight.

Hitting wish list: Playable backups in general, but most importantly SS and C since I'm -9 games @ C and -12 @ SS. I'm also from -1 to -4 behind on the other batting positions

Pitching wish list: Saves are extremely hard to come but and even a lot of "closers threats" are rostered. The easiset to get cats that help me the most are wins, Ks, and WHIP. I have been trying to sit mid-tier pitchers with bad matchups and am -13.2 IP right now.

C Joe Mauer (Min - C)
1B Carlos Peña (TB - 1B)
2B Rickie Weeks (Mil - 2B)
3B Scott Rolen (Cin - 3B)
SS Cliff Pennington (Oak - SS) - better FA SS options?
OF Corey Hart (Mil - OF)
OF B.J. Upton (TB - OF)
OF Jason Kubel (Min - OF) - could drop
Util Carlos González (Col - OF)
Util Jason Bay (NYM - OF)
BN José Reyes (NYM - SS)
BN José Bautista (Tor - 3B,OF) - could drop
BN Ike Davis (NYM - 1B) - could drop
BN Mike Stanton (Fla - OF) - could drop
-----------------------------
SP Jeff Niemann (TB - SP)
SP Tim Lincecum (SF - SP)
RP Jon Rauch (Min - RP)
RP Brad Lidge (Phi - RP)
P CC Sabathia (NYY - SP)
P Aaron Heilman (Ari - RP) - not getting much out of him- even rosterable?
P Huston Street (Col - RP)
P Cole Hamels (Phi - SP)
BN John Lackey (Bos - SP) - seems droppable at this point
DL Clay Buchholz (Bos - SP) DL

FAs:
Raúl Ibañez (Phi - OF)
Michael Cuddyer (Min - 1B,3B,OF)
Alcides Escobar (Mil - SS)
Austin Jackson (Det - OF)

I would drop Pennington for Infante. Reyes will be your starting SS and it's valuable to have a solid UTL player who can play four positions.

Also, get rid if Heilman (as a Mets fan, I see shaky days in his future) and pick up Bumgartner (has been great so far) or Myers (very consistent this season, lots of QS's). Keep Lackey, as I don't see his struggles persisting all season long.

I'd have to look at Cuddyer @ 1st instead of Pena whenever Pena is facing a tough SP to help your AVG; plus he can fill in @ 3rd & OF on off days. Heilman or bottom of the order Stanton seem droppable. Would consider 1 of the C/1st basemen eligibles for starts on Mauers off days, Infante isn't a bad add either. But if you get unlimited moves; I'd have about 3-4 hitters in a rotating add/drop on Monday & Thursdays facing easy pitchers trying to lift that avg whenever possible. Your bottom handful of players really aren't much different than FA avail., and often the FA will face a much easier SP that day.
