league settings change halfway through?

Postby gophils42 » Mon Jul 12, 2010 3:02 pm

so i'm in a fantasy league where i'm comfortably in 2nd place at the AS break. each team paid $30 to enter

now, halfway through the season the commish and his buddies are trying to change the league settings so that no team can carry more than 6 starting pitchers at a time.

this messes up my entire team strategy halfway through the season and would require me to drop pitchers like jason hammel, mike leake, ian kennedy in an NL ONLY league to pickup whatever slop bench players are left out there on waivers.

is this complete garbage? has anyone ever encountered a fantasy league where the rules changed halfway through, and how did you handle it?

League Settings DO NOT CHANGE DURING THE SEASON. Period.

They cannot do this, especially in a league where you paid money to enter. What site is this league on? Because if they go through with this, you need to submit a complaint to whomever is hosting the league.

I'd have to ask for my $30 back, if the answer is no just leave or do the best you can and don't come back next year. This is a huge no-no and I would just cut my losses and move on

The only way I'd allow a rule change midseason is with unanimous approval of the managers in the league. Otherwise it must wait until next season.

Seconded. Settings don't change midseason. NO exceptions.

First step, fight it. Second step, if you lose the fight, get your money back. Third step, win the league anyways. Fourth step, never play with these guys again. Fifth step, beat some @ss.
