Does anyone know the contract status of Kendry Morales? I'm considering making a deal involving him and want to make sure that he is not a free agent at the end of 2010. I believe that he still has at least a couple of more years with the Angels but my trading partner seems to think he is a free agent at the end of this year.

You are both technically correct. His contract is up at the end of the year, but he is not a free agent for 3 more years. He is about to enter his first of three Arbitraion Eligible years.
Help with mine:

Thanks man, I've never really understood the whole criteria for long term contracts, salary arbitration eligible, arbitration clock, years of service before being eligible to declare free agency, etc etc etc.
Thanks again!
