Pitching Meltdown--WHIR

Postby stroderode » Sat Jul 10, 2010 9:17 am

My pitching staff suddenly looks real bad. Pelf, Shields and Romero have been killing me. I recently dropped Wandy (who's still a FA), only to see him catch fire. I'm trying not to make that same mistake again, but would love to pick up or trade for a stud starter to replace one of those three.

Best FAs available are Scherzer, Cahill, Wandy, and Bumgarner.

C Kurt Suzuki
1B David Ortiz
2B Brandon Phillips
3B Jose Bautista

Carl Crawford
Justin Upton
BN: Garrett Jones
Clint Barmes

SP: James Shields
Ubaldo Jiménez
Chad Billingsley
Mike Pelfrey
John Danks

Clayton Richard
Ricky Romero

I'd drop Shields for Sherzer.

MadBum will have an innings cap, despite Bochy's BS to the contrary.I don't think he'll be there in the championship round, so I dropped him after his last start( it was a 1 game stream)

I'm not really that familiar with Cahill, so I have no input there.

I'd never trust Wandy, but that's just me.

I would pick up both Scherzer and Cahill. Drop Shields from your pitching staff and also drop Barmes. I doubt he can keep it up

a little help please:
