The Rangers do have a great defense, worthy of top 5. Last year their worst defenders were Marlon Byrd and Michael Young; Byrd is gone and Young has improved. As for the M's, Figgins has always been a better defender at 3B than at 2B, and Gutierrez/Wilson are having uncharacteristically tepid years. That said, Arlington is a home run haven and Lee doesn't particularly have GB tendencies. Safeco is the 3rd best pitcher's park and Arlington is the 6th best hitter's park according to ESPN's park factors.
Rocinante2: you know Rocinante2: its easy to dismiss the orioles as a bad team ofanrex: go on Rocinante2: i'm done Rocinante2: lmao
Beaven is a groundbally SP, his K/9s have been in the snooze-worthy 5-6 range, but he's just 21 y.o at AA so he has time to improve that.
Lueke is an older (25) RP with a 10+ K/9 arm. He had 2009 off, so he's quite a bit old-for-level. Kind of the opposite of Beaven.
Lawson is a 2B and he's a bit meh. His numbers are inflated in 2010 by how much he owns LHP (.361/.423/.657, 17 XB hits from 108 at bats) compared to how RHP have killed him this year (.232/.341/.314, 50 Ks from 185 at bats.) I hope JackZ understands what he just bought in Lawson.
Smoak is Smoak. When the power arrives it will be sexy times.
I can't wait to see the Angels and A's responses to this trade. I think this'll be the trigger for the A's to sell up, and the Angels desperately need a 3B and someone to replace Kazmir and Saunders.

Don't forget about the major difference in ballparks, though. I haven't seen the game, but Lee's allowed 3 HR tonight.
