I own Josh Hamilton in a 20 team H2H keeper league. I've had a rash of injuries (Choo, Guillen) and have thought it might be a good idea to build some offensive depth. Currently, I'm near the top of my league in Rs, HR, RBI and OPS and middle of the pack in steals (getting Rollins back should help) and AVG (Reynolds and Stubbs hurt here).
With it being a keeper league, I'm not apt to give away Hamilton without serious return. So, I have thought about proposing a 2-for-1 deal in which I would give up Hamilton and get back Ryan Zimmerman and Ben Zobrist. Zimmerman would give me back 80-85% of what I would lose power-wise from Hamilton and provide insurance at 3rd, while Zobrist would help in steals and give me some roster flexibility, as he is eligible at 2nd and in the outfield. Both will probably hit near .300, so that could theoretically only help my overall team batting average.
Would that sound like a decent deal for me? The league uses the standard scoring cats (AVG, R, HR, RBI, SB) but also uses OPS as well.
Here is my roster, as it now stands:
C: J. Jaso (C)
1B: R. Howard (1B)
2B: C. Barmes (2B, SS)
SS: J. Rollins (SS)
3B: M. Reynolds (3B, 1B)
LF: J. Hamilton (LF, CF, RF)
CF: C. Gonzalez (CF, RF, LF)
RF: J. Guillen (RF)
Util: D. Stubbs (CF)
Util: C. Johnson (3B)
Bn: M. Cabrera (LF, CF, RF)
Bn: M. Cameron (CF)
Bn: J. Jay (LF)
DL: S. Shoo Choo (LF, RF)
SP: C. Hamels
SP: R. Dempster
SP: J. Garland
P: S. Baker
P: M. Thornton
RP: C. Marmol
RP: O. Dotel
Bn: T. Hunter
Bn: F. Garcia
DL: F. Paulino (SP)
Thanks for the help!
