I am in contention and give Cruz, who at $15 can be kept for next year.
The other owner is out of contention, and is getting a good keeper, therefore should give more (classic dump deal). NOTE: Konerko and Vazquez cannot be kept for next year.
Konerko would slide in for Cruz in the DH spot, and Vazquez would take the place of Blanton, Leake or Cecil, depending on the matchups for the week.
What's stopping me is that I feel I'm giving up the best player in the deal and also in a dump deal, I think I should be getting more value. This is where you come in. Do you think I'm overvaluing Cruz, and undervaluing Konerko and Vazquez (especially Vazquez)

i think you should be getting more too. Cruz is a stud and will be a stud next year. Konerko and Vazquez aren't bad, but not high caliber talent. if you think the upgrade in pitching will PUT YOU OVER THE TOP, then make the deal. Otherwise stay put

I agree completely. Since this is a dump deal and he is trading for a good keeper, you should get more. I would pass on this and try to get something better.
