I need pitching help badly and having been going back and forth with an owner. This is his latest offer. I give my Victorino, Wandy and Qualls for Verlander and A Bailey. Is this a good trade? Wandy may be back, so I am torn. It doesn't look like Qualls will ever be reliable enought to get his job back. I can pick up Manny, D Fowler or Crisp to replace Victorno. WHIR 100%

Is it really that easy? I think Wandy is back. I countered and asked if he would accept either Slowey or Medlan instead of Wandy. He said if he make this deal, it has to be with Wandy. I could try to get a better closer from him. He also has Soriano and Wagner. I could ask for one of them instead of Bailey. WHIR 100%
It's tough to trade for secondary closers this time of year. Billy Beane is notorious for trading and replacing relievers at a moment's notice. Also, Qualls could become a "holds" guy for the rest of the year if he's traded to a contender. I have Wandy in one of my leagues. Obviously I've been disappointed with his perfomace so far this year.
Bottom line: You're getting the better of this deal. Do it!
I would take this deal every day and twice on Sunday. I think you are correct when you say Qualls is blah. Verlander is a big upgrade and Bailey is a nice secondary piece. Not sure if you already took it, but if not...do.
