I'm thinking about trading for Beltran. What do you guys think he'll be capable of for the second half, and beyond? I can keep him indefinitely, so I'll have him for next season. Now seems to be the time to buy low, but will he be any good?

Not a bad buy low option, but I wouldn't expect too much. Just be pleasantly surprised if he helps you.

I also like how you posted a new thread when literally the top thread at the time that you posted it was about Beltran.

I can't imagine him stealing any bases; so go in with low Stolen Base assumptions.

Most of his value in the past was in his speed and SB ability. He's going to be wearing a brace for a while that limits the mobility of his knee so don't expect much (if any) in the SB category.

I'd say 30/12/45/.275/3 in the second half

FWIW Beltran has said that the brace does not slow him down. He said something to the effect of...I am running full speed, it may look different, but I am as fast as I was before. Guess we'll have to wait and see if that is true.

I guess you didn't see him killing that ball back when he was with the Astros.

I have really low expectations with Beltran. I'd go so far as to say that I wouldn't touch him. Angel Pagan will outproduce him in the second half.
